& Conditions
Booking
We require a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rent to confirm a
booking, with the balance payable a minimum of one week prior to arrival. If the
booking is made less than two weeks before the arrival date, then the whole
rent is payable at the time of booking. Once we have received your deposit, we will send you written confirmation together with your receipt.
The contract for your short term holiday rental begins once we have issued
your confirmation letter. Prices include VAT at 17.5%. We accept cheques
(payable to A & D Soutar), Visa, Delta, Maestro, MasterCard, Euro Card
& JCB. Rentals start at 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and finish by 10
a.m. on the day of departure unless alternative arrangements have been
agreed.
Charges
Rents for the cottages include gas, electricity, bed linen & towels.
There are additional charges for use of the pools & the sauna. There
is a direct dial telephone in each cottage; calls are charged at standard
local, national & international rates and are payable at the end of
your stay. Z-beds with bed linen are available for additional guests,
subject to availability & space, at a charge of £25.00 per bed.
Barbecues, cots, highchairs & stair gates can be provided, subject to
availability, free of charge. Please book z-beds, cots, highchairs &
stair gates before your arrival.
Cancellation
If you have to cancel your booking
for whatever reason we will endeavour to re-let the cottage for the whole
period of the booking. If we are able to re-let the cottage for the whole
period, we will refund all monies less the non-refundable 20% deposit.
Should we be unable to re-let the cottage, then all monies paid shall be
retained by The Moretons. It is strongly recommended that you take out
cancellation insurance, of which we can provide details.
If we should need to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our
control, we will endeavour to offer suitable alternative accommodation;
should this not be possible we will refund all monies paid to us in full. Restrictions
We regret that we do not accept pets.
All cottages are non-smoking. The number of persons occupying each cottage
must not exceed the maximum number as stated in the brochure or on our web
site unless agreed by us. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the
entire party if this condition is not observed. Care
of property
We request that you take all
reasonable and proper care of your cottage, its furniture, fittings and
effects and leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean
and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning. We
reserve the right to enter any cottage at all reasonable times for
purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or
maintenance. Guests are legally bound to reimburse The Moretons for
replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand. Safety
All guests and their visitors must ensure that they take all reasonable
steps to ensure their own safety and that of others whilst at The
Moretons. We cannot accept responsibility for any injury or loss caused
whilst in or around the property. All pool rules must be adhered to.
Children must be supervised by an adult when using the play equipment. Problems
If for any reason you should incur
a problem during your stay at The Moretons, please bring the matter to our attention as soon
as is reasonably possible in order that we can rectify the situation.
